Ugo Bianchi
Veteran
film and stage actor Ugo Bianchi (sometimes credited as Valentino
Bianqui) enjoyed a prolific career in both film and theatre that
spans over thirty five years. Appearing opposite stars such as Jon
Voight in Table For Five (1983) and Dick Van Patten in "Eight
Is Enough" (1977) Bianchi has proven to be a hard working actor
committed to his craft.
Argentinean by birth but Italian by blood
Bianchi started acting at an early age. Son of Italian immigrant
who migrated to the new continent in search of fortune at the turn
of the century, by the age of twenty two Ugo Bianchi's name was already
well known and respected on the stages of Buenos Aires. After receiving
two Argento Critics Circle Awards for his performance as the title
role in William Shakespeare's Hamlet Bianchi left the Argentinean’s
stages and relocated to Hollywood in the early sixties.
After several
years of hard work to make a name for himself in American Cinema,
in 1969 finally Bianchi delivered a critically acclaimed performance
opposite Emmy Award winning actress Karen Valentine in "Gidget
Grows Up".
For nearly forty years Mr. Bianchi has graced with
his presence the screens and stages of this continent. Before retiring
in 1992 he gave one last very notable performance opposite Academy
Award winner Benicio Del Toro in "Drug Wars: The Camarena Story" (1990).
Ugo
Bianchi has recently surprised his fans by coming out of a thirteen
years retirement to star opposite Italian actor/writer Matias Masucci
in the film Jack Rabbit.
