Bryten Goss
Bryten Goss was born in Los Angeles in 1976. His formative
years were influenced by art, music, travel, and exploration, leading
to the choices he would ultimately make as an adult and as a painter.
His
ability to paint first emerged when he put brush to canvas at the
precocious age of five, and though the significance of that moment
was perhaps lost on some, it was not lost on those who recognized
the remarkable potential of those fresh and fundamental strokes.
Understandably,
he began searching for his true vocation in his early teens, eventually
deciding to follow his first love, that of painting. And though his
early works were very raw and organic, they showed a simplicity,
which would allow him to find his own unique style.
A self taught
painter, Goss started traveling the world at seventeen in search
of the oft unadorned, but honest compositions in which he has come
to be recognized by his many patrons. Initially, he experimented
with various different mediums, but in the end chose the traditional
way of painting with oils used by many great painters throughout
history.
In later years Goss has made yet another transition,
this time into the art of film making. His visual training and knowledge
of light provided him with a unique vision and understanding of this
new medium. Jack Rabbit is his second directorial effort preceded
only by the 2004 film Five O Four also starring Matias Masucci.
